Merry Christmass and Happy New Year 2010

Merry Christmass
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not
even my spouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Chris soon would put recipes there.
The
cat was nestled all snug in her bed, While visions of catnip danced in her head. And the cat in her chair and I on the
net, Had just settled her brains for a long and slow pet.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I
sprang from my computer to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and
threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. When,
what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature bus, and eight Spark helpers so dear.
With a little old
driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be Saint Chris. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And
he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Becky! now, Tanya! now, Nicole and Meg! On, Nancy! On, Dean!
on, Denise and Jen! To the front of the porch! to the top at the door! Now rest all my helpers! and watch the decor!"
As
dry leaves that blow before the wild hurricanes fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. So up to the
front porch the coursers he ran, With the bus full of recipes, and Spark Ideas yes, man.
And then, in a twinkling,
I heard on the porch The clicking and clacking of each little foot. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Through
the door St Chris came with a bound.
He was dressed all in red, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were
all neat as he looked. A bundle of Papers he had flung in his pack, And he looked like a peddler, just opening his sack.
His
eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose as cute as a canary! His cute little
mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was missing you know.
The stump of a pen he held tight
in his teeth, And the aura it cast encircled his head like a wreath. He had a kind face and a flat little belly, That
shook when he laughed, like a health food deli !
He was slim and trim, a right healthy young elf, And I laughed
when I saw him, in spite of myself! A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had information
to be read.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings with healthy news,
then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, out the door he blows!
He
sprang to his bus, to his helpers a whistle, And away they all drove like anti missile. But I heard him exclaim, 'ere
he drove out of sight, "Happy Spark Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
