Case No.24.2

A missionary, protestant, in Africa ( P. Lieven Bergmans,Editions A.B.C. 48, Butembo),

relates on the beliefs of the Wanande tribe from Congo. The tribesmen say that there are

people that can make bad charms by simply using their eyes. Those ones are named muloyi.

The tribe has an complete theory about the wrong actions  which these ones are able to do  by

the evil eye.

The evil eye is cited in the Christian        Bible among other evil things (Mark,7: 23).

There are many popular cultures more approached in time and space that assesed the phaenomenon. The italians language has a term for it " mallochio ".

Case No. 24. 3

"The young  B. Tiberiu looks with his eyes crossed. When he looks at her ,Mrs.

Ionescu is get up by some fainting at heart, with headaches, begins to yawn and yawn."

And has to go immediately at home to ask someone to make her charms against

the evil eye."

At a ball dl.B. stayed in corner of the dancing room and looked at the gracious lady

Ionescu dancing. He looked at her a big lot. She began to yawn, to yawn a lot

until when in the middle  of a  dancing figure she felt ill, was about to fell down on the floor

and they had to  take her out for fresh air and make her charms against the evil

eye...

When they met at her home, he has a strange smile, looks hardly deep  at her...

she yawns, and has to look down. Then she rises her eyes and meetings his eyes

which are under the blue spectacles, she swallow without reason and has to look down again.

(from I.L. Caragiale , a Romanian classic)

      Case No.24.4

A.I.Kuprin a russian author (1870-1938),in the novel "The Witch" is relating about the skills of a country girl living isolated in a forest with her mother. As she has the fame of a witch the author asked her to show him some of her special abilities.

       --------------

"What shall I show you ? " she asked, thinking. "Go on the road in face of me.. But

beware, do not look back at me !"

      - But it will not happen something of horror ?  I asked her hiding my scare of an unpleasing event with a smile.

-No, no, just trivia. Come on, go ! I stepped forward, very curious on what will

happen, feeling on my back the  forcefull strained eyes of Olesia. But after about twenty steps I made a false step on even ground and I fell and laid along  on the road.

-Go forward ,go ! cried Olesia, and do not turn your head back ! It is just nothing. If it hurts a little, you will recover until your wedding.

I moved again another ten steps and I fell again and laid  down along the road.....................

After that she explained to the author that, following him step by step, imitating at most his way of stepping and looking all the time at him, she strives at most to copy even the most insignifiant motion of him as if trying to identify simply but totally with him. After moving so for several steps she imaginates a rope as being tight across the road at about one foot above the ground positioned at some distance in face of him. When he is  at the point of reaching that  imaginary rope, she makes a motion as she was  suddenly falling down. At that moment even the most powerfull man shall fall down.

The author was very astonished to read after, that the witch women from France ,plain poeple women, use the same methods as Olesia did.

Case 24.5 A biblical case again.. Impairment of the vision sense

" And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.". ( Acts,13: 11). Here Saul has  to fight his ideological opponent , the sorcerer Elima, and to demonstrate to him the power and force of the new faith and doctrine, and to show this as an evidence behind the roman deputy Sergius Paulus. And , invoking the Lord  ( the hand of Lord is refered as acting ) , he suggest by words  that the sorcerer will be blind for a time. We think that the sorcerer was not a man to be  easily driven by the words as he was himself a man able and  with skills to influence others. But he could not resist to the eyes of Saul who "....set his eyes on him" ( Acts,13:9). Also  Paul was trained to drive people to his doctrine by hundreds and miracles were his dayly bread. So, by using a skill of influencing the others mind  and his own experience with this kind of vision impairment by psychical means  ( to remember that he was himself  temporarily blinded by  what we will call  today a psychosomatic ilness : " And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened he saw no man; but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did it nor drink -Acts, 9: 8,9) , he perturbed the vision sense of the sorcerer. We do not want to contest here  the quality or purity  of this biblical miracle. We see only that an event very similar with the ones analysed here was recorded by the Bible.

         Case  No. 25.1  Motion impairment

At first  the subject is relating about his general sensitiviness. He trained his ears by covering them with cotton and achieving to hear as usual. After taking off the cotton he achieved a better sensitivity. He has a skin very sensitive to puncture and cutting that he feels as a torture. He suffer if the clothes or underwear are too rough. He does not smoke and drink and if a bottle of coke is open

for several hours he feels the difference in taste from the beginning to the  last sip of it. He trained his eyes to see little points at several meters distance so acquiring a more cute vision. He thought that this sensitivity  is good for his general adjusting to the environement and he says he was able sometimes to avoid danger situations by using his skills gained by a special training.

He relates also about some special events which he thinks that are related with his general higher sensitivity. He has by nature his feets with loose joints at ankles and if he steps without care or on a rough road with many stones he may fall sometimes because his loose ankles do not adjust well to the task and as he steps with the plant of the feet unparalell to the ground he might fall or  has to make a big effort to regain the equilibrium through several big and unsure and creative steps. That happens rarely and it might occur also when he walks very unattentive as he is thinking too hard to some problem while walking. But he observed also that he might loose the controll of his plant motions also when walking ,a girl is looking too intensely to him. Then his ankle joint and the muscles connecting them might loose coordination and he makes a wrong step and is about to fall down  and has to make some effort to regain equilibrium by some ridiculous motions. It happened many times to him, enabling him to relate it to the looking of a girl or somebody else  to him.So he corelated many times his  loss of equilibrium by the fact of being watched by somebody  while walking.

Case 25.2 Motion impairment

The subject is a ladies in her early fifties who narrate some recurrent event from her youth.

When she was about 20 years old she was considered pretty enough by men and sometimes walking on the streets , she was  watched and followed and sometimes the followers tried to talk to her to begin a relationship.

From that time of her life she remember to being watched by men in the street from behind her ,even from a long distance , e,g. 100 m away from her.

Then some peculiar event happened usually. First of all she felt a sort of   general uneasiness of undefinite character. Next she felt that her feets was  reluctant to move her bod any more. She noticed this impairment with a little bit of fright and thought about what might happen to her as she walked normally and suddenly she could not make it any more. She was also compelled to look backward also spontaneosly, without much thinking for the reason of doing it, and she was driven to look directly to some man who stared at her intensly from behind.

The event repeated many times to become a pattern.

Case NO. 26.1    LIGHT EMISSION

The subject is a girl about 18 years old. She had a girl friend who tried  sometimes to induce her to behave in an immoral manner. It was made in a faint manner so as the subject to be caught up in the plot without being able to react properly. After a time the subject realised the intentions of her  girl friend ,avoided the undesired situation and   was very angry  for  all that. She had not met her girl friend for a time, but she was decided that at the first meeting she will express all her contempt in full. Their first meeting was accidental in the street and the subject was unprepared to it .Before saluting she just stared at the girl friend with the idea in mind to  clear the point straight at the place where they met. It was not possible as the girl friend turned back and began to run in the opposite direction at a great speed and at first she ran toward a wall and knocked him as she would not see it as being in her way. After hitting it she changed direction and ran away. They met afterwards, clarified their problem and came to more normal sentiments and relationship. The subject asked the girl friend why did she run away so  foolish then.T he girl friend said that the subject looked at her then and her eyes emited a blue light  flash (the eyes of the subject  were brown ) which was very scarefull and she began to run without thinking what she was doing and she knocked the wall without noticing it.

Case 26.2  Light emission

The subject was a bachelor in the thirties in holydays at a mountain resort. He was a handsome male of a impresionate look. So when he passed among people he atracted usually the attention of the women. One evening he passed on a street of the mountain resort. Some zones of the street was not illuminated in full. After several days of living there he become acquainted with the other people having the same period of  vacation as him. That evening  he crossed in the street a lady which seemed to him that she develloped a "coup de foudre" toward him, but she was not of his circle of relationships from there. As she passed she looked at him short and intense..Looking to him her eyes emitted a flash of blue light. That was very clear to him as it was evening and the flash was very visible in the dark.

      Case no. 27

The subject, a male middle aged, thought a lot on the communication between people and realised that the eye contact is an important feature of it.

He realised that most of the time when two persons meet and speak toghether they use to look to each other in eyes, but not all the time. When a person from the speaking couple is looking for an argument or a word or an information from his mind he has to look aside as if the eyes of the other looking into his eyes would interfere with his thought process.  He realised also that when a person is about to lie or to hind something to an interlocutor is doing it sometimes by avoiding eye contact, by turning the head aside or just looking aside. So he decided that to  make a test , proposing sometimes to some people which with he was conversating to follow voluntarily the subsequent rule. To try to speak so as to look only to him,and if the need would be felt to move the eyes from the other, to do it only by looking only vertically, up or down.

One time he made this proposal to a 14 years old girl, a relative of him. In the room there was a dog also, which laid asleep on the floor. The girls accepted and they spoke a lot. At one time the girl said that she saw as some waves emerged from the eyes of the subject and flowed into the room as a water fall. At the same moment the dog woke up and become to bark and tried to bite the subject.

Another time she was one evening with a niece, a  teenager  in a a dark room and they spoke about some controversial family matters for a long time. As it was dark they looked a lot one to another while speaking. Wnen they finished the girl  stood up  and began to move to go  to bed in another room. She stepped through the room but his motions were unusual as her legs were chained by some rope.

Case No. 28 A cat looks at and is noticed by an alert signal

The subject is a man in the fifties. One evening, he went home traversing his town by foot. It was about midnight. In a street nearby his home he saw a black cat passing the road to enter in some bushes which were near the pavement of the road and  also near the houses. He was tired because the hour was late and he was walking for two hours. He had to be carefull at the the traffic and at some people also walking at night as not to be attaked. But here the street was quite empty and the cars were not making too much noise. Though he ascertains to have been alertfull enough to care for his security. To mention again ,he saw a black cat passing the street and disapearring in some bushes. He passed the location at which the cat appeared and continued to walk 20 meters. He had to turn back suddenly as to secure him from some unknown danger, and looked carefully to see from where the danger could come. He saw on the ground at 20 meters from him the black cat looking very attentively at him in the posture of a  feline prepared to attack a pray. He was sure that he was not alerted by any audible signal as the cat moved surely very silently.

He was convinced that only the cat looking to him made him to be alert and to turn his head and body back. As the cat' s paw  motions noise was hard to hear and discriminated above the background noise of the street and town at that night hour, the subject is convinced that what made him to turn his head was the field emited by the cat when staring at him .

Case no 29.  Remote sensing of brain registered information.

The subject is  retired  college professor. Several thousands of students attended his lectures. He remained in contact with some of them, by letters, or short visits when they passed through the small town in which he lives now as a retired person. Many of them went abroad and have now outstanding careers with international companies or in academic positions at the best universities in the world. He noticed one of them, one of the best students  he ever had, a young woman which lives  by now in a town  located at about 15.000 kms from him and which send him letters quite regularly. This lady has visions from time to time. She reported her problem to her doctor but as it does not disturb too much her life, which is quite normal in other respects, they concluded that she has not to worry much about these events and let them pass. Some of her visions are related with her professor, the subject relating them here.

Here some of the visions will be related as they have some common features  relevant  to be exposed here.

The youth of the professor was in a agitated family life of his parents. They loved each others and behaved normally, but sometimes they quarelled at home for minor things as these quarrels revealed perhaps some hidden resentiments which were not permitted to be expressed elseway and they burst out. He remembers having this problem with her mother. He remembers well the unpleasant discussions, as these discussions  had the  same patterns, mostly the same words were pronounced, about the same subjects. The expatriate ex-student young lady reported a vision about the subject, her former professor. She  saw him as a young man quarelling with an old woman, on a specific subject. The words of the discussion heared during the vision, the subject matter treated,  the apearance of the woman, the objects surrounding them in the vision were recognised by the professor as the substance of the events from his youth and his relationships with his  own mother.

In his youth the professor had a friend which became a drunkard in time. The professor used to pass some time with this person as this one was a very intelligent person  with good conversation skills and remarkable insight. The profesor used to pay him a drink in a pub from time to time.  This was not a person from his usual social background and this relationship was discrete and known by very few people. Their meetings had a regular pattern. They met in the same pub with the same subjects of conversation, the drunkard friend used to wear the same weared trenchcoat and asked for the his usual drink. The expatriated ex-student young lady reported several visions with the professor, drinking in a pub ( not an usual behavior known by her ) with a guy wearing a a worn trenchcoat and she heared their conversation on subjects known only by the professor. Names of persons were pronounced during this conversation known only by the professor and his drunkard friend. When the vision was related to him, the subject recognised the patterns and the surroundings of his meetings with his friend, the drunkard.

The professor was seaman for several month in his youth. He loved very much the sea  and arranged the events of his life so as to be able to experience the life on the sea and this period made him feel happy. He resumed this soon, to come back to his academic career. He ascertain that this make part of his most beloved memories. This episode of his life is known by very few people and he did not mentioned it during his professorship,  as the social  medium in which he lived was mostly "victorian" in manners and attitudes. The expatriate ex-studend  young lady reported a vision with the professor as a young man in seaman navy suit wearing beard ( it was the only time when he wore beard, a fact also unkown by the student ) and behaving in manners of a seaman.

The professor use to be also a dreamer but only by night during his sleep. And by a long practice he trained so he became capable to partially controll his dreams. His dreams are normal as he thinks, as normal as dreams could be. Some are more vivid and are evolving in landscapes discovered by him in dreams and after, met by him only in his dreams. He indulge e.g. a landscape which he discovered that is lunar - from the moon- , after the landing on the moon was done.  It is a desert landscape on the earth either, and in his dreams the professor performs some archeological and building actions in this landscape. The expatriate ex-student young lady related a vision with the professor moving through a moonlike landscape and performing actions known only by him in his dreams.

This vision was the last reported to him by the ex-student and shocked him at most. For all the other visions, the student had no information sources from him or another people , but his  experiences were  sometimes shared with another people, many of them dead now, but which could relate during their life time about the events to other people and these ones to other people and so, step by step, the information about it to come to the ears of the student and to became the matter of her visions. This is not very improblable or unusual as, though he was modest and with normal achievements , being a public figure, many knew him and without wishing it , he knew that  many events of his life were known and many people from around the world spreads gossips or rumors about him. But for his lunar landscape  he is certain that this information pertain only to his brain and available even to him in full  only in his dreams.

And summarizing the experience of his student with him in her visions he saw that all  the events wieved by her are from information located in the cell memories of his brain and not available to her only from it. All these memories are emotionally charged for him  and are about people and events which influenced his life profoundly. But, he has concluded mainly from the last recorded vision that she have in some way, access to infomation recorded only in his brain. So he dared to emit the hypothesis that sometimes perhaps when  he sleeps, his brain emits a field, containing some of the information from inside.  As they are in different time zones, he sleeps in the time when she is awake. She feel or receive with her brain, the field of his brain and transform the information recieved in a vision.

Another hypothesis is that, she would like to meet him at times and not being able to do so, thinks unconsciously to him and looks for him from the distance, and send her brain field as a radar beam until it reaches him from the distance, to see what is he doing and she collect from the distance the information available in his brain.

Commentary

The related events are somehow progressive in their substance and were presented here, as this work is an essay and because the author knows well the actors and their probity and is sure that they did not revealed these facts to build personal glory, not even in a  way round.

As this manner of sharing inner visions was met by him in novels of the late Carlos Castaneda , he paid a special tribute to the memory of this author by naming this work with his patronime.

Case no 30

Tales from country fairs. Visions induced by  professionals.

In Eastern  Europe, at the begining of the 20-th century and even later, the country fairs, like fiestas from Spain and Italy or" faites foraines" in France prevailed. There, jesters, popular circus entertainments, and many other medieval customs survived. The subsequent cases come from these happeninngs as recurrent stories collected from many counties, but happenning in more recent times ,around the beginning of the 20-th century.

In a circus representation at a country fair a clown had a show with a trained cock. At a moment of the show the actor announced a special performance to take place and the cock was seen entering and circling the arena carrying a big wood pole. All the audience cheeered and applauded. Only one single woman said that they were all fools to not  see that the cock was carrying a simple thin  bit of grass. At the same moment the woman saw a big water flood coming to her seat and by a sudden motion she raised her clothes as not to wet them. The crowd laught seeing her naked feets and did not take into account her words about the grass carrried  the cock.

At another country fair two men were trading a medicine resembling the water, bottled in nice glassware and recommended it for tooth aches and ofered it to be tested immediately by those with aches. Some tried it, felt no more aches and bought the medecine. One woman told the people that the two were charlatans, she knew them from another fair as they were selling pure water nicely bottled as a panacea. At the same moment she saw the ajacent river to flood into the  market place and she wanted  to take off her newly bought nice dress and showed her underwear to the passerbys which laughed, and did not believed her any more.

Comment

In both of these two tales those  profesionals, disturbed  in their business activities  by a clear and unmystified onlooker are reacting by changing the mind content of this one and making him to behave in a compromising manner. Again a brain is influenced by another brain, directly without the using  of speach or another  known communication channel.

Case no 31. Brain acting as a remote radar or sensing device.

After the 2-nd WW, some  of the people of some vanquished countries dissapeared   from their homes as taken as POW by the occupant during night raids or false ID papers checkings.  A young man disappeared maybe so. His brother who loved him much tried to find him. At a party, an old  man , which we would call today a psychic, was invited. He asked the master to help him to find his brother. The young man was invited  to lay down on a sofa and a sitting took place with audience around, which we   would call today a hypnosis session. During it, the master asked loudly the young man to cross the border in his imagination and to look into several concentration camps af a remote country of which the young man knew nothing, He translated words written on buildings  in an unknown language and alphabet, translated even conversations heard there,  until he saw his brother as being sick into a hospital. The young man was always scared in the time of his mental trip but the master assured him that he is capable of doing it. Finally the name of the concentration camp  was revealed by the sleepy young man and the also the circumstances of the confinment of his brother. After the session was over, the young man and the master felt and seemed both very exhuasted and  both needed a recovery time. In the next days the young man made a request  for the liberation of his brother through the International Red Cross and used the data uncovered during his imaginary trip to sustain it, telling that " as far as I know he is an inmate at....". Because of that, his brother was freed and able to come back to his family.

                  General remarks and conclusion

The rationale of this work is the life experience of the author. After the occurence of many similar events during decades, he inquired about the authenticity and value of what happened to him. He was now more attentive when a resembling fact was reported to him and saw that some of the events were not quite rare. Many of those with each he discussed parts of the work, mentioned that themselves, or persons  known  by them are sensitive to the action of a human staring at them.

After that he wondered why the science of today did not take into account this domain. No answer was found yet by him. It was told to him that these events are  rare and not reproductible and so, not easy to be measured and assesed by the actual scientific methods.

In what follows the author rely on his experience and rely on the collected material  from which a part is exposed here, as being in accordance with his own experience.

And from this experience, the opposite comes out. These events are not rare and are reproductible. They appear in life situations of many people and are part of their daily events.

The problem with official science is that this domain is new to her and does not fit and cannot be sticked to any branch of it without shaking some foundations and established views. The author hopes that it will be  studied   as a new branch of science.

The author make the challenge of the hypothesis of a physical field which could be emited by the brain of a human, to influence the brain of another human.

He challenges the inquiry of this hypothesis, also about the possibility to transform this idea into a technology. To build a device  to detect, amplify and broadcast  this field so that remote communication among humans to be made by this new channel of communication as a regular , reproductible and controlable process.

The case no  27 and 28 suggest that animals as  dogs, cats or  maybe also another mammals  are sensitize to or are able to emit a similar field which could be detected by a human. If it will be proved to be so , a huge domain of communication between man and animals might open.
